Traveling Tips


In today’s world of travel there are a number of people that get caught up in travel related issues that can be prevented with a little bit of advice and preparation. It is our goal at luggagefactory.com to make sure that your travel experience is a good one. So here some tips to make you traveling experience easier.   • Put your name and the phone number of your destination on luggage tags and inside of your bag


  • Make sure all old destination tags are removed to prevent any mistakes when you bags is being handled by the airport/airline staff


  • Make you bags stand out from the rest by adding some flare to your bag so finding your bag easier


  • If you buy gifts, don't wrap them since all luggage is subject to inspection.


  • Travel light when you can. Try bringing one carry-on bag that will fit underneath the seat in front of you.


  • Overstuffing your bag makes it more likely to get damaged, take advantage of carry-on options


  • Remove all straps or hooks from the outside of you bags to prevent damage to yours and other bags.

  • To insure bag security make we recommend having TSA Approved Locks on you luggage


  • Be aware of the recommended baggage allowances for the airline you are traveling with to avoid additional charges like size and weight restrictions.


  • Carry valuables, medication, and travel documents in your carry-on luggage.

  • Pack anything that might leak inside an airtight plastic bag.


  • Know the rules for any of your items that might be considered dangerous goods.


  • Know the requirements for the security checkpoints where you'll be traveling.
